This blog is born as part of the coursework for the UNED life-long education course "Encouraging Oral Skills in the Foreign Language Classroom". It is conceived as a space of learning and experience-sharing through art and other cultural expressions brought together by the visual style, the ideology, the life visions or the emotional features of German Expressionism. It is not meant to be prescriptive or to be taken as a source of irrefutable knowledge, but as an opportunity for the author to delve into the mysteries of this artistic movement and to explore its connections with other cultural productions and its influences on them.
Since the author is not an expert but a passionate amateur taking her first steps in the universe of art, the creation of this blog is approached from the perspective of a learner who also has something to offer as a language teacher. Experiences are what make learning meaningful, worthwhile, personal and special, so the author's hope is that each of the posts will serve as an opportunity to share past experiences and to seek out new ones.
